BBC iPlayer for TV: Putting iPlayer where it belongs

The BBC's on demand TV and Radio service was launched as a computer-based product, but it is now available on hundreds of devices spanning tablet, mobile, TV platforms and games consoles. This session will talk about the woes and rewards of creating user experiences for TVs, how we assessed and developed our concepts, and what our challenges are now.

Jane Murison is Head of User Experience & Design for BBC Children's, Knowledge & Learning and Connected TV in Salford. She started at the BBC nine years ago as a user research specialist, and has since moved around the user experience team in a variety of roles, working on mobile, social, TV, content management and iPlayer.  She can be found on Twitter mainly talking about knitting, but occasionally talking about the BBC and UX
