Transforming welfare through design

This talk explores the challenges and the balance of research and design in delivering policy and digital services as one–using one of the biggest welfare projects in the UK Government as an example.

It will showcase several works highlighting how policy is translated into designs that influence people's real-world experiences of government. In particular, how policy and design can work together to deliver a service that support millions of people–ranging from those looking for work to those who have health conditions.
